We went to see "Ray" at the Shattuck Theater (great movie!)and were trying for Thai food afterwords, but Little Plearn was closed. We happened to be walking by La Note, and since I remembered hearing good things about this place, stopped in for dinner.
What a disappointment! I ordered the truffle and porcini ravioli, and Graham had the sausages. Both meals were served lukewarm; I thought about sending mine back for reheating, but didn't feel it would benefit from being nuked in the microwave.
So what happened? Did we just hit them on a bad night? Or is brunch their forte, and we should write them off for dinner? Good service, but couldn't make up for the bad food.
