La Caja China - roast suckling pigs

La Caja China roasting boxes used for roasting whole pigs have gotten a whole lot of press this year (Saveur, NYT). Has anyone used one or seen it in action? A friend and I are thinking of ordering one to do a pig roast for a bachelor party, but it is quite expensive for a one-off event. That said, we are captivated with the idea. Does anyone know of places to rent these? Or if we get one, would people be interested in borrowing it for their own pig roasts? It would be a shame to have it lie fallow for most of the year, but I can't imagine it replacing my smoker as my summer weekend activity of choice.

We're also looking into getting a smallish suckling pig. Right now the leading contender is Fromaggio which can get us a 25 pounder. Any suggestions on other places to look? I was thinking about asking Market Basket - you never know.
