This place gets a lot of love on this board and deservedly so. We went there for lunch yesterday and had one of the best all around Mexican meals in a long time. We ordered a la carte: chicken enchilada with mole, chicken enchilada with mole verde, chile en nogada, taco arrencho, sopa compuesto con picadillo, and pork pozole.
YUM! The enchilada with mole was the weakest because the sauce was too sweet and cloying and lacked the complexity of an earthy, traditional mole. But everything else, fantastic. The chile en nogada was an experience - creamy pecany perfection.
And, last but not least, the homemade corn tortillas are amazing. Hot, thick, hand made tortillas singing of fresh masa. I finished the meal with putting spoonfuls of the pozole on tortillas and making messy, but oh-so-satisfying little pozole tacos.
There were several other things that we wanted to try so a second visit (if not a third) will be right around the corner.
