Kyora Restaurant, Sunnyvale - review w/ pics

In the back of the Ramada Hotel on the Right. Had a http://Restaurant.com $25 off coupon, but had to spend $50 + 18% tip included on my bill. It's a lot of food for 2 people, better to bring 3 or 4. About 5 min drive from AMC Mercado, Sunnyvale.

We ordered lots of stuff:

FREE small dish of edamame

Spinach w/ sesame sauce - fine. I liked it.

Tuna Rice Balls - Skip it, worse thing we tried. Nothing special about it, it's suppose to be crispy rice, but it was just rice w/ some seaweed & tuna inside. Skip it!

Cold Ramen - Summer only. It was fine. Cold ramen, some egg, pork, pickled veggies, some light sauce. I liked it.

Albacore Tataki - lots of semi-raw albacore w/ ponzu sauce, lots of sliced onions. I liked it.

Fried octopus tentacles - B. liked it. Potato salad on the side was nice.

Grilled fish cheeks - 2 big chunks of meaty fish. Fine.

Grilled mackerel dinner - big slab of mackerel, potato salad good, salad boring. Miso soup given earlier was salty. Side of white rice.

Small bottle of hot sake - it was average. Credit cards are allowed.

NOTE: They are closing in August for remodeling - so don't go August 2011!
