Kubo Radio - long

Thumbtack | Oct 9, 2005 10:43 PM

My fiancee & I went to Kubo Radio today for lunch. What a treat. My new favorite place. Immediately upon sitting down we were given a shotglass of pear juice with ginger. Sort of an amuse? So it gets better. After ordering, we ask to watch the game on the tv currently playing cartoons. The remote is brought to the table. I order a second sake ceaser. Miso broth with shiitakes was perfect. Spring rolls with shrimp & chicken are hearty and durable. No flakes of phyllo floating in the zinging dipping sauce! On to mains.
My bride to be loves the duck & beef burger, I have the best eggs benny/flo ever. I was a little confused with it being served as a sandwich. I left the bun almost fully intact, it was very good though, I just ate the egg, spinach, bacon & lovely hollandaise. The burger's bun was identical and shared the plate with slivers of sweet potato chips. My eggs were beside a carrot/cabbage slaw with a great dressing.
Great beer selection, $10 corkage fee, happy staff, cool room. What can I say, even the Bills win!
