Ate there yesterday.
Place was much busier than Premeire Palette had been, but it's new. The more descriptive name, better advertising, and the fact that it's not really dark inside anymore might also be a factor in this.
Had the $4.99 special, Teriyaki Chicken with udon noodles instead of rice, and vegetables. Also tried a taste of the house made duck sauce.
Chicken and noodles were very greasy. Like, cooked in a quarter stick of butter greasy. Amato's chicken-and-broccoli greasy.
Chicken was also too salty, with not enough teriyaki/soy sauce flavor.
Vegetables were so so. They weren't overcooked flavorless mush like I've had other places, but at the same time they seemed hardly cooked at all. Which isn't neccesarily a bad thing, as I like my raw veggies. But they were also mostly some kind chinese cabbage, with just a tiny bit or two of broccoli, and two or three slices of carrot. The carrot that was there was delicious though.
The duck sauce tasted like spiced apple sauce with some kind of sweetener added. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't great and left an odd afterstate in my mouth that wouldn't go away after the apple sauce flavor faded. May have been the kind of sweetener they used.
The last issue is how they packaged my food to go. They filled one of those styrofoam cartons, but they didn't staple it or put it in a bag, or package it with any utensils or napkins. So I didn't have any napkins because I forgot to grab some, and I had to be very careful so as not to spill it.
They'll probably stay in business because their prices are so low and they're in such a convenient location, but I don't think I'll be eating there again anytime soon.
