Just had one of the best meals of my entire life at Fearrington House in CH... the centerpiece was a perfectly-cooked piece of Kobe beef with black truffles in a red wine sauce - utterly unbelievable. It's a $37 supplement to the $79 prix fixe menu, but the taste is absolutely beyond compare. In the journey from raw to medium rare, all the flavors that a steak would have at any doneness emerged - just plain orgasmic.
