Knickerbocker Saloon

Last night a buddy and I had dinner at the Knickerbocker Saloon on University Place. (I'd never been there, he had been there before). I enjoyed it---it was a unpretentious chophouse, food was ample, simple and delicious. We had oysters to start, then the steak for two (topped with really good finely cut onion rings), which came with garlic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Topped it off with a bottle of Rodney Strong Cabernet.....$160+ tax and tip. The waiter was attentive.
