Tried this place for the first time today. Grabbed a chicken shawarma sandwich for lunch, adding onions. $4.23 out the door, and I got it to go.
No complaints. It was certainly serviceable, fed me, and these days, that's a cheap price for *any* sandwich, including other chicken shawarma sandwiches. It came with the pita wrap, obviously, some pretty good chargrilled chicken (I liked the char from the grill which remained on the chicken itself...great taste and added texture), pickles, tomatoes, and garlic sauce.
Again, I'm not complaining here, but I guess I was expecting more, based on the place's storied reputation. I wasn't overly impressed with the garlic sauce, but it wasn't bad, either. I could easily get one again, but with Falaffel King only two miles away, I can't see myself driving past there to go here.
Is there something else on the menu I should try that maybe would open my eyes a bit more?
