I just wanted to chime in on my second visit to E.D. While the service was nice and accommodating (what's with the Chinese uniforms?), I found the pastries I had overly sweet...to the point that my TEETH actually started to HURT! I can't remember the name of the pastry that did me in particular. It looked like a fruit tart that had a baked meringue crust that was so overloaded with sugar, one taste practically killed my taste buds...even with 4 other people with me, we couldn't get through this thing. We had to throw the rest away. The white chocolate ice cream was also horribly sweet. It is as if the pastry chef there had company stock in C&H!
The first trip to E.D. all I ordered were chocolate desserts, and I ended up with a chocolate headache.
K.K. does not have a delicate touch when it comes to desserts, which in my opinion makes it E.D. quite ordinary.
I don't think I'll be making a third trip any time soon.
