My husband and I have vacationed in Myrtle Beach for many years and were excited when we saw a new restaurant concept and decided to have dinner there.
It was actually two restaurants in one connected one end was "Kansas City Prime" a steakhouse and "Kono" an asian fusion restaurant with bars in between each restaurant for drinks and light fare.
The decor was trendy and very contemporary "Kono's" reminded us of a smaller version of "TAO" restaurant in The Venetian, Las Vegas our original plan was to eat one night at Kansas City and the next at Kono's.
We arrived at the nearly empty restaurant and I ordered a Martini and it was very "tini" one sip and I was finished. The butternut squash soup was good and creamy. My husband ordered the "filet mignon" and it was tasteless lacking any seasoning. Don't call it a filet mignon if it isn't..................Call it what it is "beef tenderloin" the lesser version.
I ordered "prime" rib hello?.....................................It didn't resemble any prime rib I ever had, it arrived brown with a sauce on top with lot of grizzle and fat to chew through I finally gave up........end of story
Don't include "Prime" in your restaurant title if ther isn't any to be found
