After searching on Chowhound and other information sources, I have came to a very short list of places that seems to do Kaiseki dinners (and the list seems some what outdated as I have no idea what the condition of the current restaurants are now).
From fellow chowhounds, there was mention of a place called Seikitei (or Seikito? or Kappo Ishito at Weller?) which seems to serve Kaiseki dinner. Though if the chef is at Kappo Ishito, I would think that a place with Kappo as the name are Kappo/Izakaya style food rather than Kaiseki.
While doing some searches on google, there seems to be mention that Senbazuru also does a Kaiseki dinner (which seems more like Omakase of their specialty, tempura, than Kaiseki).
From other message boards, I have ran into two restaurant names that I could not seem to locate anymore. One being Koto and the other Kitayama (Newport Beach). I was unable to come up with any information about the validity of Kaiseki dinner served at such a place and if those restaurants still exist.
Of course, Urasawa also post an Omakase/Kaiseki style dinner. Any word on this as well?
