Started the day at SUSHI NOZAWA for lunch, as normal it was spectacular. People around me at the bar kept saying that the fish was the best they've ever had(no surprise here).
Went to JOSIE'S for dinner. Totally incredible, started with WHITE Asparagus soup, Seared Sea Scallops, Shrimp Prawn Stack, then MAPLE LEAF DUCK, then came desert, Toffee ice cream w/peanut butter and chocolate cake, very good! Jill was in the kitchen cooking away(she used to be at Rockenwagner a couple of years ago) Josie came by and we discussed food & wine for about 10 minutes. I was at CHEZ ALEX a while back and let me just say there is NO comparison, even thought ALEX is a great Chef his prices and quanity of food are no match for JOSIE'S in every category. For LA the Master List should still be: La Cachette, Melisse, Josie's, Campanille, Valentino, Bel Air Hotel (private table).
