Praise for Josie may be somewhat redundant for this board but I felt obligated to post this.
We had an amazing meal at Josie Saturday night. Started with appetizers:
Soft shell crab with buttermilk coating, slice of corn cake - sublime.
White asparagus soup with dolop of potato puree with a single fried shrimp and best of all, a lemon crisp - a very thin lemon slice - fried - it was great! An incredible combination of tastes - kind of yin & yang.
Elk chop (not gamey) great sauce, with couscous made into a kind of big pancake, with vegetables.
side of truffle fries - lightly sprinkled with parmesan (?) cheese.
Alaskan Halibut with tomatoes, artichokes, and veggies.
various French pudding things - chocolate, caramel, and hazelnut - delicious.
Also had a very good Syrah - 2000 Lewis Cellars.
The service was great, helpful with no attitude.
A terrific meal!
