JEANTY at Jacks.

I'm a visiting LA hound. When I visited my parents we ate at JEANTY at Jacks.

My parents may be French but I’ve never indulged, other than some vacations in French Polynesia. This was, believe it or not, my first exposure in a decade, and I was blown away. I like simple food, meat and vegetables. And French food seemed that, with a great sauce.

The first time it was incredible. I had the escargot and steak tartar, a little rich combination but I'm a glutton--and I loved it. I tried my Moms ossobuco and my Dads mussels. Loved everything.

The next time we went we took my sister. Her tomato soup was wonderful my steak au poivre was great but the other entrees didn't make me see stars--'course the bread was heavenly.

I have this thing about first times--first bites of food, first kisses, etc---when something is perfect why repeat, it only goes downhill, right. But I did and I want your opinion on what to order.

What’s the best table, or best place to sit--the place is maze. We had a wonderful table the fist time looking down over the railing, but the second time we were tucked away in a cave, with some very loud inhabitants.
