I'm looking for a really good, and not too expensive Persian place, westside prefered. I'm taking a group of people new to Persian food, and I can't decide between an old standard (of mine, Javan), or somewhere new to me too.
I've been to Javan many times, and like it very much (meats, rices, stews..)and also to Darya (didn't like the food as much in general, could partially be that I can't get past the Versaille hall of mirrors like decor?? although I do love their eggplant (Kask Bademjan -sp?)
I'm looking for comments on the differences between some of the other places I've seen mentioned from time to time, Sham, Shamshiri, Shaharazad, or others I may be forgetting, and certainly don't want to miss out on. I've never been able to get a grasp on how they measure against each other, better food, more expensive, more upscale, etc..
