One of the few foodstuffs that, with a mere mention, elicits a rabid Pavlovian response from ms. rabo.
Tadig seems to be the epitome of Persian comfort food---flat pancakes of crispy rice, smothered by whatever stews are available, or, for homemade versions, left over. Quite delectable.
While chowing down at the Glendale SHAMSHIRI last night, I realized that theirs is the only version I've ever sampled, albeit, about five times. Ms rabo has had only theirs, and the apparently outstanding version made by a former boyfriend's mother **grumble**.
So---the ms. and I would like to sample other renditions. Will travel anywhere, especially to Westwood.
TIA for any leads.
