My wife and I recently dined at the Inn at Little Washington. As a follow-up to the other threads, here's a trip report for future hounds. The prix fixe standard is $126 per person, not including drinks, tax, and tip. A more expensive tasting menu is also available for $168 per person. Our total bill, including a generous gratuity came to nearly $340.
The prix fixe standard includes 3 courses plus dessert. My wife enjoyed the crabcake, fricasee of Maine Lobster, Lamb, and the chocolate trio. I had the foie gras, scallop, duet of veal, and peach trio. The veal and crabcake were delightful, as well as the chocolate dessert. Surprisingly, the foie gras was OK but nothing special - and the one scallop left me begging for one more.
Overall, it's probably the best restaurant in the greater DC area for service and food quality. The little touches such as the dessert basket and having your napkin folded for you when you go to the restroom are nice. Some waiters, though, can be a bit too chatty and sycophantic. Better value can be found elsewhere, but it's great for a special occasion splurge.
