Indian food in Sacramento

We went on Friday night to Kaveri, a southern Indian place on Fulton Blvd. that I'd seen mentioned on Chowhound a while back. It was OK but I'm wondering if there's a better Indian place to go. The one notable thing we did have was one of their Madras specialties, an appetizer sampler called Kaveri Combo which included 1 Idli, 1 Methu vada and Masala Dosa, with sambar. The masala dosa was definitely very freshly prepared -- it took a while to come out, and when it arrived, I was impressed. It was huge, light and airy, and filled with a nice vegetable curry (mainly potatoes). Most patrons there had gone for the $12.95 dinner buffet (apparently the restaurant also does a popular lunch buffet for around $7). The buffet offerings didn't look especially interesting, which is why we went a la carte. There were a number of Indian customers there though... a good sign.

I'd love to hear any reco's for good Indian in Sacto. Janetofreno told me about a place on Franklin, I think, but I don't know the name of the place.
