Ideas for Brazilian Football Fans in Search of Grub, Grog & Goooooals Tonite!!

While looking for the most festive way to celebrate Brazil's participation in the World Cup Finals, I ended up compiling a list I thought Chowhounds could find useful if viewing the game out this evening.

**************
TONY'S RESTAURANT & GRILL FROM IPANEMA
701 Long Beach Blvd in Long Beach
Tel: 562.435.6238
No cover charge, but need to buy food, drinks and/or a Samba Class instead. Food available all nite, but alcohol will be collected @ 2am. Place is small (180 people) and it's suggested that you come early as they're planning on having the place fill up. Doors for event open @ about 10pm.

***********
GITANA
260 E. Magnolia Blvd in Burbank
Tel: 818.846.4400
$5 cover charge. Cover includes a brazilian buffet, beverages (no booze), brazilian dancers, possible live band and 2 big screen TVs and 35 small TVs for viewing the game. Doors open @ 2:30am for event.

***********
ZAMBUMBA
10717 Venice Blvd in Culver City
Tel: 310.841.6525
Zambumba is closing the block they're located on for a block party and are offering two packages.
There is no cover charge to view the game from the outside - the party commences @ 2:30am and there will be a huge projector TV set up for the crowd outside plus a live band. They're expecting about 600 people for the outside event.
The inside event has a $40 cover. Cover includes a brazilian buffet and entertainment. Doors open @ 2:30am for this event as well.

**************
HOLLYWOOD PARK CASINO
3883 W. Century Blvd in Inglewood
Tel: 310.330.2800 ext#1
Cover charge is $12. This includes a brazilian dinner and two live bands. There's a full bar until 2am, 20 big screen TVs for viewing the game and a drawing for a trip for two to Brazil. Doors open at 10:30pm for the event.

*****************

I think it's Hollywood Park for me, although Tony's Grill sounds totally fun if it weren't all the way in Long Beach! Hope this helps some of you football freaks out there!!!

GO BRAZIL!!!!
