Hui Bin Restaurant

We were there last night for the 2nd time, and I'm writing to rave about this place! It's upstairs in the Great Mall of China on Valley Blvd - sort of above the Islamic place. We were in China 2 years ago, and in Shanghai ate Mabu Tofu, which I've been dreaming about ever since - tofu with ground pork in a spicy sauce - fantastic. This place had it and it was as good as we had in Shanghai. Lamb with leeks was the best of the several restaurants I've tried it at, other dishes comparable.

Service charming and friendly, prices moderate - 4 of us last night had 4 dishes plus rice and 6 beers, total with tip was $80.

Both visits we've been given a complimentary dessert. The first time it was the sweet bean soup that I think you have to be born Chinese to like. Last night it was fresh oranges. There's a soft ice cream machine in the foyer - you help yourself to a cone as you leave. My friend is on crutches with a broken ankle, so we took ours back to the table, no problem.
