Hong Kong style Won Ton and BBQ

We had lunch last week at Daimo, which has branches in Richmond, BC.

We order the three sampler BBQ plate which I though was kind of high at $15.00. But found it to be a bargin. We had roast duck, roast suckling pig and Gai Fei(hope I spelled it right) chicken. We had a very large portions. The skin on the duck and pig were just perfectly crispy and meat was favorful without being too oily. The chicken was the yellow hair chicken so prized for the texture of it's skin. It was almost as crispy as the duck and pig.

Then we had a dish of the yo choy which is a type of green vegetable that is so what of a cross between bok choy and gai lai. My wife loves this vegetable best so I had no other choice.

Then we order the wonton's. They were full of shrimp in large pieces,very fresh and favorful. They were the size of golf balls. Much larger than most I have had. We were unable to finish the meal and we had leftovers for dinner. With tax and tip under $35.00. Do a bad deal, but I will need to try the other interesting eating places in the Pacific East Shopping Mall.

You can see the wonton stations and the chopping station for BBQ from the dining area. There is seperate cooking area for the all other food.
