I'll be in SLC for my every-six-month biz trip soon, and need to find a good Mexican place for a vegetarian client (but not a veggie restaurant, because I'm a carnivore). We'll be Downtown, but if the food is worth it, I'm happy to taxi.
I've tried the Pierpoint Cantina and Blue Iguana on previous visits - not bad, but not exactly exciting food, and they both are a bit chaotic during trade shows (which is when I'll be there).
I've read that Red Iguana (not Downtown)is the best but difficult to get in - do they take reservations?, and the Rio Grande Cafe looks interesting. Comments? Suggestions?
As for me, when I'm not with veggie clients who like Mexican food, in SLC it's usually Lambs for breakfast, the New Yorker for steaks, and Globe for innovative cooking. Any updates on these places?
