I am going back to my hometown after an absence of roughly 15 years. I'm planning to dine at Rue Franklin for fancy, Chef's for Ameri-Italian, Schwabl's in West Seneca for the beef on weck, and Ted's for the dogs. Also thinking about Ming Teh and Granma Mora's (still there?) if I can find the time.
I've scanned through some of the earlier posts and the Bob Rapaport website, but don't see some of these old favorites of mine. Any comments on the above list or other suggestions? BTW: I'm not thrilled with idea of Anchor Bar. I might have my Buffalo citizenship revoked, but I find the chicken wings down south taste better than what I remember in Buffalo.
Also, we will be driving up from DC and will probably be somewhere between Pittsburgh and Buffalo around lunch time. Any suggestions for great chow on the way?
