After a long 100 mile bike ride this last saturday, I ventured back to Hollywood Florida to check out some of the place i'd seen during my rapid run through town. On Harriston/Harrington St. in the historic
downtown there are soo many place to eat, they all looked amazing. I haveed tried a couple now, so here are my findings:
"Shuckems-Rawbar&Grill: very casual, THE BEST FROZEN MARGARITA I HAVE EVER HAD!(And I am from Los Angeles, and have had them in almost every state & Mexico) the steamed claims were cooked nicely, and were a bargain. I also had a "maine lobster" for 10.00, witha couple of sides, that was very good. The menu was huge, so I will be going back. By the way, if you watch your fat intake, try using "hotsauce" in lieu of "butter" on lobster, and it makes it into a lo-calorie meal!
Chinatopia is next door, tried it the next day, and it was better than PF Chang's ( one of my L.A. favotires), just better quality, cleaner flavors, and very east coast chinese. Great outdoor dining too.
All the places in Hollywood Florida in downtown seem to have very good menu. A real change from the hussle & bussle of S. Beach!
