OK-so both Motz and Ozersky recommended Hildebrandt's in their recent books on burgers as being one of the best. I love and respect their opinions on burgers. The cheeseburger at Hildebrandt's was good but not trip worthy in itself. However, the fries which were a cross between hash browns and potato chips were memorable. Everything paled however after tasting the chocolate malted. Homemade ice cream with a whopping amount of Horlick's malt powder mixed on an original Mixmaster until straw drinkable. Perhaps that's what brought a category 7 burger up to a 10 for Motz and Ozersky. Must go back and try a double burger and a homemade hot fudge sundae.
