How much heat can my Polyoxymethylene (POM) handle well handle??

I own a slotted tuner with a POM handle and am unsure if it will hold up to occasionally being rested on the side of a hot frypan for maybe a minute at a time? Or will it begin to melt within a few seconds? At the moment I remove the tuner each time I’ve finished using it, but I’m wondering if I’m giving it too much special treatment?
