If you're in Burbank and in need of a happy hour, Savannah (formerly French 75) is a great place. They've got a $5 menu (drinks and food).
I had the Darling and the French 75 champange cocktails. The Darling is sweet with essences of strawberry liqueur and the fresh strawberry garnish. The French 75 is just plain fun alcohol (champagne, cognac, and lemon twist).
My group ordered a few things to share...Buttermilk Battered Calamari with Sherry-Garlic Aioli, Southern Fried Chicken on Biscuits with Thyme Cream Gravy, and Spinich and Artichoke dip. The calamari was good...the crunchy shell was nice, but the calamari was chewy and overcooked. The chicken on biscuits was quite nice (great fried chicken with a smoky bacon and gravy), and the sweet potato fries that accompany it was even better. We wiped out those fries and ordered another plate...note that the fries by themselves cost $9, but if you order the chicken on biscuits the fries come as a side. The dip was okay...very spinichy...not too many artichokes, but it did have nice large chunks of mushrooms.
