Gypsy Saloon

We ate at the Gypsy Saloon in Conshohocken on Saturday night and it was great! I hadn't heard much about the place, except that it was the same owners as Stella Blu.

We had seafood stew $12 (mussels, clams, shrimp, & snapper in a red sauce) and crab cakes $12 to start. The seafood stew was great. It was a nice portion. And someone next to me ordered it with pasta! OMG the crab cakes were amazing. No filler, but had a spicy sauce, and was really crispy on the outside.

For entrees we ordered Chicken & Shrimp Marsala with peas and wild mushrooms $20. It was also absolutely delicious. My husband had the Grilled Pork Chop with apple salad and roquefort cheese $22.

We had 2 HUGE glasses of wine ($6 or $7 each?). We were way too full for dessert.

The added bonus was that they had a DJ playing Frank Sinatra and Mowtown in the bar after 10:00. It was a great night out. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely go back.
