Two very good Italian dinners for $35:
Pizzeria Il Fico, from the Chef at Vincenti, started with an excellent calzone with salame then moved on to a nicely done porchetta and ended with a good tiramisu.
Gusto, from the former Chef at Culina, began with terrific meatballs, continued with wonderful squid ink agnolotti stuffed with seafood, before concluding with a rich chocolate torta and a dense but tasty walnut ice cream.
Neither place seems to get the attention it deserves and DineLA provides a good chance to see for yourselves what the Chefs can do. Two of my more enjoyable DineLA meals this time around.
