I admit it; I'm a bargain shopper for the most part. When the stores put meat on sale, I load up. I'm always on the look out for sales and mark-downs when I grocery shop. I regularly shop at a couple different stores. I pretty much only buy my meat on sale or if it's something I absolutely need at that time.
It helps to have a couple of freezers for storage. This week, I got 80/20 ground beef for $1.99 lb. I also bought a whole pork loin for $1.79 lb., a couple of chuck roasts for $2.99 lb and T bone steaks for $3.99 lb. I also got three 1/2 pint blackberries for .99 cents each.
What goodies that you consider a bargain or a good deal have you bought recently? The question is not limited to grocery stores...farmer's markets, butcher shops, even fruit from the neighbor's citrus trees...share all!
