Went last night to the new steakhouse/raw bar restaurant in Olney. Our party of 4 was seated promptly for our 7pm reservation. The restaurant ambiance is great with high ceilings, some rough finish and exposed brick walls which gives it a modern look. The place was packed and the bar area was happening. We split a dozen oysters, blue points and Chesapeake salts, which were freshly shucked and served with cocktail sause, hot sauce, a citrus vinaigrette and fresh ground horse radish. they were cold, fresh and delicious. The menu is full of steak and seafood selections but also includes sandwiches,ribs etc. 2 of us had the special grilled rockfish which had a slight smokey taste and was perfectly cooked. We also had the seared ahi tuna which was perfectly seared and rare in the middle. I ordered the crab cakes which were all crab meat with no filler and was served over corn and sweet pepper succotash. For desert we had an ice cream Sunday and a very good homemade cheesecake. We very much enjoyed
dinner. Dinner includIng 10 drinks came to $280.00 including tips and tax. GrillMarx is a very welcome addition to the Olney dining scene.
