Green Tea Chinese -Duck tongues?!

Science Chick | Oct 17, 2003 09:43 PM

Went to Green Tea in Newton. The potstickers (steamed) had a tender fresh wrapper and were served with a delicate ginger sauce. For main course, we ordered off the Weekly specials menu (Thanks for the advice, benzelig!)....had Pea Greens in garlic sauce and Eel with yellow chives. Both were outstanding. The greens we simultaneously sweet and savory with big thick/mellow slices of garlic - no gummy garlic sauce here! The Eel was melt-in-the-mouth tender.

The owner, upon seeing us eat "real" Chinese food, came over and introduced himself and told us next time to ask for other specials not on the menu...apparently he also had duck tongues, but we missed them! Never had them, but love beef tongue, so I must try. Has anyone had this?

We'll DEFINITELY be back!!
