Great Thai at True Thai in Mpls

I had a great meal at a relatively new Thai restaurant in Minneapolis, True Thai. I thought it compared favorably to some of my other favorite Thai restaurants in the Twin Cities like St. Paul's Taste of Thailand and Ruam Mit. The menu was interesting with several offerings not typically seen at most U.S. Thai restaurants. The biggest stand outs were in the appetizers. We had the delicious Bangkok Crispy Sweet Beef -- almost like a Thai flavored beef jerky. Very tender and flavorful. Another highlight was the green papaya salad studded with dried baby shrimp. Also, their version of the classic Thai satays was very good, because of an especially tasty peanut sauce. For the entrees, our favorite was the green curry. We also liked the atmosphere and the service was friendly. It is located at 2627 E. Franklin Avenue in the Seward neighborhood.
