Great Steak at Cattleman's!

I just took a road trip to San Antonio Texas and ate at a great steak house outside of El Paso.

It's called the Cattleman's Steakhouse at Indian Cliffs Ranch and it's about 18 miles east of El Paso on Interstate 10, 5 miles north from the Fabens exit.

It's a working ranch, movie set, children's zoo and much more but more importantly it's a great restaurant!

I had a fantastic 2 pound porterhouse steak - one of the best I've ever had! Didn't need any seasoning or sauce, it was perfect as it was.

The filet mignon side was so juicy and you could actually cut it with a fork! The New York side was very flavorful and juicy also. I was chewing on the bone by the end of the meal - my wife was lucky she got any of the steak!

It came with excellent ranch style beans and great cole slaw with pineapple both served family style, average baked potato, and mediocre rolls. We also tried the rice with peppers, bacon and mushrooms and we were not impressed. Surprisingly there was not much flavor so we'll skip the rice next time.

Service was good, people were very nice and it had a ranch house kind of atmosphere where you could be casual or dressed up and still feel comfortable - we loved it!

I would definitely recommend Cattleman's Steakhouse and consider it one the top 3 steaks I have eaten so far!
