When the harsh winds and cold rain come down, there's no better food than a bowl of hot steaming ramen. (That is, of course, if you can't find a decently poured pint of room-temperature Guiness, which O'Reilly's in North Beach in the only place that comes close to doing properly in SF.) Good ramen is not easy to find, I've found, although not as difficult as a good Irish stout. I've also found that stout and ramen do not go good together. But that's not my point.
I haven't found a better ramen in SF than the one at Oiri, which is on Cyril Magnin, across from First Crush and Hana Zen. Their seafood ramen is perfect.
Here's the challenge: If anyone can find me a better seafood ramen in SF, I'll buy you a bowl of said ramen. I will be the judge. You tell me the place, I go and try it, and let you know. (What the heck, same with the Guiness, who pours a better one than O'Reilly's? I'll get the next round).
