Great Roti on Washington Avenue

My wife and I tried a new roti shop yesterday...at least I think it might be new (I never noticed it until this past August). Anyway, it's located at 698 Washington Avenue (near St. Mark's, I think), and named quite aptly, the Washington Avenue Roti Shop. The roti skin was delicious and the filling, much to my delight, tasted fresh. I think the owner actually uses fresh vegetables. Service was quick, about 5 minutes, and polite. The menu offers a full range of Caribbean drinks...sea moss, mauby, sorrell, etc. All in all, quite a place. It's nice to have something closer to home, so I don't have to ride the train to Ali's whenever I want a decent roti. The roti could have used more hot sauce, but I suppose I'll have to tell him to heap it on the next time I go there.
