We were feeling fancy tonight and decided to forego the bar menu and eat in the regular dining room. Our meal was all around excellent. We started with the Crab Hush Puppies, then shared the Hoisin and Honey Glazed Duck Confit and the Ribeye. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. We were seated right away and never had too long of a wait between courses.
The duck was delicious - a Thai-style dish with rice, mango, and cashews. The duck was fall-off-the-bone tender and flavorful. Presentation was nice, with a large banana leaf covering the plate and lots of fresh cilantro for garnish. The steak was also good, with a side of chard stuffed with cornbread, in the style of a stuffed grape leaf. The steak was sitting in a pool of savory blueberry glaze - very yummy and more subtle than I'd expected it would be - and topped with some vinegar-soaked asparagus slices. It was lovely and tasty.
If I had to change anything, I would have ordered something more exciting than a steak. But all of the dishes were well prepared, and we had an appetizer, two entrees, and a nice bottle of wine for $100. We'll definitely be back, and next time we're going to attempt the 6-course tasting menu.
