Great dinner at Fillmore Grill

I had dinner with two friends at the Fillmore Grill, on the corner of Fillmore and Clay, last week. I ate light and had a delicious greens salad and a cauliflower curry soup. One friend had an equally delicious green salad with citrus and the lamb shank, as suggested by the waiter, and she practically licked the plate on both. The other friend had the wiener schnitzel entree, which was really great in my opinion, and unusual to see on menus around here. It came with a lovely fresh lingonberry sauce, diced potatoes with fresh herbs, lemon wedges, and a salad of baby greens. For dessert we had a chocolate decadence dessert, which was delicious, but the tangerine meringue part was much better. Apparently the place has changed hands and a former waiter is the new owner. Service was very friendly and it was a very cozy, mellow meal.
