My fiance and I had lunch at a great new Chinese place called Harvest Moon. It is located in Collier County on S.R. 41(Tamiami Trail) in Tamiami Square (the same complex where Naples Tomato is located). The food was absolutely delicious. For an appetizer we had the Chinatown BBQ pork. It was a perfectly cooked pork tenderloin with a honey bbq glaze. It wasn't too spicy and it wasn't too sweet. It was a perfect combination of the two. For an entree I ordered the Shrimp in Lobster sauce. It was so flavorful and tasty. I've had lobster sauce in other restaurants and sometimes it can be somewhat bland. However, the lobster sauce at the Harvest Moon was delicately accented with ginger. It had water chestnuts, peas, carrots, and was just so good. My fiance had the sesame chicken. Sometimes sesame chicken can taste too sweet, but the sesame chicken at Harvest Moon had a very subtle flavor. It was crisp and delicious. The best part of the meal was dessert. I am a dessert junkie. I've had good and bad and I have to say that Harvest Moon's Tempura Fruit is one of the best. The chef took bananas, pineapples, strawberries and mangoes and lightly fried them in tempura batter. The fruit was then topped with a light caramel sauce, cinnamon, and creme fraiche. My fiance loved it even though he is not a big fan of cinnamon. He said that this dish has just the right amount of cinnamon without being overwhelming. I absolutely loved our meal at the Harvest Moon and I can't wait to go back again. There were many more dishes on the menu that I'd love to try.
