Great Breakfast in NoVA or DC

Currently I am living in Bmore but shortly I will be making a move to Boston. My father has fallen in love with Miss Shirley's in Roland Park. He frequently drives up from FFX to "visit me" so that he can have breakfast at Miss Shirleys (truly is worth the trip). Does anyone know of a restaurant that serves similiar breakfast food down in NoVa or DC? Thanks!

Here is their menu

His favorites are: Oysters Shirley-feller- Cornmeal-Encrusted Fried Oysters, Creamed Chipped Beef & Egg Round on Shredded Potato & Onion Hash Browns, topped with White Cheddar Cheese
Smoked Salmon Benedict- Poached Eggs & Smoked Salmon on Potato Cakes with Chive Hollandaise Sauce & Sour Cream

Update: Thanks for the recommendation, Fl ave Grill does look like it could satisfy the biscuit/ VA ham/ egg diner type of breakfast.

Since he is retired he tends to eat out for breakfast mainly during the week when my mother is at work so places that only do weekend brunch might not work.

What about places with a variety of egg dishes (omelettes, eggs benedict, etc.) ? He has gone to the chain Eggspectaction (sp?) and didn't think it was horrible, just not that great.
