I'm coming back into town for a couple of days and want to do a dinner at Grand Sichuan. San Francisco, though filled, with good Chinese food has only one Sichuan specialist and it is no Grand Sichuan.
Anyway, I've been to the Chelsea and the 52nd st. spots but see that there's a St. Mark's and Canal St. location. Are these new? Are they the same? Are they as good? Any help would be appreciated.
As for our other day, I was going to bop around to exotic places (pretty much only looking below 14th) for small plates or appetizers: Kasadela, Kuma Inn, Momofuku, Secretes, Alta, Casa Mono, The Spotted Pig, In Vino, Aroma, 'inoteca. Any thoughts on those places or additions would be appreciated.
