I Once Had Good Vegan Pizza -- This Was Disgusting

I'm lactose-intolerant, but sometimes just want to join my family in eating pizza. Once, when traveling in the Central Valley, I went to a restaurant that used tofu cheese for pizza and it was amazingly good. I was surprised -- I've never been one to try the mock foods that are out there. But I did and it was great. So, the other night I decided to order the vegan pizza from Lanesplitter. It was truly awful. Blobs of pasty goo on top of flavorless toppings on top of flaccid crust. I know, I know, serves me right for reaching out into the world of Unintended Tofu Products. I'm writing here to warn anyone else out there away from this mess and to see if there really is such a thing as decent vegan pizza in the East Bay. Usually, I just go to Jupiter and order a pizza without cheese and with extra red sauce and it's pretty tasty -- or I get pasta instead. Anyone have any better experiences?
