Good (the restaurant)

I had a very "good" meal at Good this weekend.

The highlight was a swordfish special. Swordfish isn't usually one of my favorites, but I took a chance on it since the preparation sounded soo good: it was grilled and served with avocado on a sauce of fresh peas. It was melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

The appetizers were good, too, but I felt that they were trying too hard with them. We had a salad of arugula with fried green tomatoes, as well as a composition of grilled onions, a ricotta "toast", along with some other veggies. They were tasty but not outstanding.

For dessert we shared a banana-chocolate chip bread pudding. Bananas and chocolate being one of the most sublime combinations man ever invented, this dish should have been out of this world. However, I felt it fell short. I'm not saying don't order it--just keep your expectations in check.

Our waiter seemed very nervous, but the others in my party didn't seem to notice.

P.S. For anyone interested in celeb sightings, Robert MacNeil was there.
