spent a couple days in Woodstock last weekend. was there for an awesome 3-day tattoo and body art festival, that featured a ton a great bands, and basically took over every venue in town. Chow wise there wasn't much notable. Woodstock seems to have a high concentration of poor restaurants. I won't run through the list, but will note we had yet ANOTHER disappointing meal at New World Home Cooking (we have a weekend home nearby - score-card is now 1 great meal, 3 bad ones).
the nice surprise - and what became our stand-by was the Catskill Mountain Pizza Company (in the center of town on Rt 212). They make an great pie - good sauce and cheese, and an excellent thin and tasty crust. Big slices and friendly service too. It's the best pie we've found in the area (Ulster/Greene Counties) in the 8 years we've been up there.
