Looking for good ice cream and hot dog joints [Pittsburgh, Greensburg, Uniontown Areas]

I have a friend who will be visiting next week from out of state. We always like to find great dive restaurants/greasy spoons, awesome hot dogs, and amazing ice cream. We're always on the look out for well-priced ethnic foods as well.

Growing up in Dravosburg, I know that Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas include many gastronomical delights.

On a previous trip, I took my friend to Primanti's, Original's, Dave and Andy's, and Lulu's Noodles in Oakland, Georgetown Inn on Mt Washington, Bill's out SR 51S at Willowbrook Plaza, Rita's on Curry Hollow Road, and Handels near Century III.

We're looking to branch out further than previously for food. So far, I'm planning on a day to the Strip for breakfast at Jo-Jo's, a stop at Enrico's for yumminess, and lunch at Sunseri's or Salem's Grill.

I also plan to my friend to Red Caboose on SR 51S for hot dogs and cheesy fries, Jim's in West Mifflin for a good dog with special sauce, and maybe out to Kerber's dairy for some ice cream. We may take a day to visit Frienship Hill historic site and do lunch at Apple Annie's in Point Marion.

Does anyone have any further recommendations for good dogs, ice cream, or cheap-but-delicious ethnic food? Pittsburgh, South of Pittsburgh (live in Belle Vernon, going as far south as Ohiopyle/Confluence), and Westmoreland County.
