I chose to transplant myself here and am generally pleased. While I know there is a variety of food to love here, I can't help but yearn for NYC where a hop to astoria landed me at Artopolis bakery, Stamatis, tvna. cyclades, Telly's to name a few. they all have one or 2 amazing dishes I return for. Then the fresh ingredients...I miss the phyllo at poseidon on the w side.
I live not far from the sObe OPA, have not tried it yet so please share your impressions. I already tried food at Ouzo on Normandy isle (x3 visits) and was not blown away on any one. I also tried Daily Bread marketplace which has some good options.
Can you direct me anywhere from palm beach to key west where i can find a good Mpougatsa (bougatza), toulumbe, loukumadas.... I would love to buy freshly made phyllo dough too! Am I asking for too much?
Maybe a recipe if all else fails?
