Just tried Rocker Oysterfeller's for the first time this weekend, and I will definitely be back for more. We walked in without reservations around 7pm on Saturday. It was quite crowded due to the holiday weekend, but we were offered a table in the covered patio (with heat lamps) within 30 minutes of arriving. The patio was nicely toasty and quiet. You can also eat at the bar, which would normally be a good option for us, but it was full that evening.

All of the food was wonderful. Instead of the usual bread & butter, RO serves corn biscuits with honey butter. Fabulous crusty exterior. We were hungry, so it was difficult to keep myself from filling up on these biscuits. As an appetizer, my SO and I split the andouille sausage cornie dogs with creole mustard. Somewhat on the small side (4 bite-sized corn dogs), but delicious. For entree, I ordered the pork shoulder with jalapeno corn cakes. The corn cakes were perfect for soaking up the au jus from the pork shoulder, which was perfectly juicy, flavorful and melt-in-your mouth meat. My SO had the fried chicken. All I managed was a quick taste of the crunchy coating, before he wolfed down his entire plate full of food. We knew it was too much food, but we couldn't resist ordering a side of the mac & cheese, which was absolutely amazing - crispy and cheesy (not of the creamy variety). It was as if the cheese had baked right into the pasta. A healthy-sized portion too. Sadly, we were too full for dessert.

The next morning we returned for breakfast (arrived early and waited for the doors to open). We both ordered the cowboy biscuits & gravy with eggs. The buttermilk biscuits were nice and light. The gravy was made with homemade sausage, and had a little bit of a kick to it. The eggs were perfect (mine prepared over hard, his done over easy). We ordered the side of applewood smoked bacon (a bit skimpy, with only two slices), that perfectly topped off the breakfast.

Although occasionally confused (I think due to the craziness of the holiday weekend), the servers were always very friendly and helpful. All-in-all, a very nice addition to Valley Ford. We're already planning a return visit with friends.
