Good Eats in Downtown Lake Worth

Allison | Sep 16, 2005 10:24 AM

It's been awhile since I've posted, so thought I'd share some of my new (and some old) favorites for dining in downtown Lake Worth.

For sushi - Sushi Blu (on Lake Ave. between Dixie and Olive)
for deli - Toojays (on Lake Ave. between Dixie and Olive)

for breakfast - John G's - incredible french toast

for mexican - the Taco Lady (on L Street between Lake and Lucerne), also mentioned by other posts - Taco Al Carbon - on Lake Worth Road (west of I-95)

For pizza - new pizzaria on Lake Ave (between Dixie and Olive) - starts with an L. Used to be where the Lake Worth Ale House was.

For desserts - Lake Ave. chocolates - homemade gelato and homemade chocolates (on Lake Ave. between Dixie and Olive)

Bakery - Scandia Bakery (on Dixie, just north of Lake Ave.)

Good Bar type food - Dave's Last Resort (on Lake Ave. between Dixie and Olive) - I like the Island Wrap - grilled shrimp and avocado with a great chutney type sauce)

Good Food, Good Atmosphere - Bizarre cafe (Lake Avenue west of Dixie)

Good Food, Great View - Old Key Lime House, on Ocean Ave. in Lantana (East of Federal/Olive). Have fun feeding bread bits to the catfish and watch them swarm.

There are other great places to, but those are just some of my favorites.
