Good Dim Sum at Lakeside Deli

A bunch of us went to Lakeside Deli based on some recs below and we all enjoyed it. Some highlights included baby bok choy in garlic, garlic eggplant (the best I've had), something called pin? noodles which were very fat round noodles tossed with lots of good stuff, the taro dumplings, and the soy duck. They also prepare pan-fried rice pancakes with various stuffings, which is like the rice crepe but this preparation was much more flavorful than the normal steamed preparation. We loved the shrimp version. Barbequed ribs were quite flavorful too, and I don't normally like them. The only thing we ordered that we did not like was the squid in a spicy sauce that was more fishy tasting than spicy (the sauce was fishy, the squid was tender and fresh and I'd try it again prepared differently). There were a lot of specials posted on the wall written in both Chinese and English, so we didn't feel left out on that front, which was nice. Won the prize for dirtiest bathroom, however. Despite that, we'll be back. Total cost was $10 per person including a very generous tip.
